Central Payment Enhances Processing with New Pay-At-The-Pump Compatibility
SAN RAFAEL, CA, May 11, 2010 -- Central Payment is now live with the acceptance of petroleum-based cards: Wright Express and Voyager. "The petroleum market has always been a giant in processing volume within the bankcard industry", said Michael Cadiena, Director of Terminal Programming for Central Payment. "Having the ability to process these petroleum cards with a Pay-at-the-Pump solution is paramount to the continued success of Central Payment."
Central Payment will now be able to setup merchants to accept petroleum-based cards through the use of the stand-alone terminal, the Verifone Vx570, as well as providing support for the Pay-at-the-Pump POS systems: Gilbarco and Ruby System. With Central Payment, fuel-based merchants, such as gas stations and convenience stores, would be able to have the added benefit of being able to accept these specialized cards alongside Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
